  • 3am features in top VoIP websites [Dec'06]
  • 3am continues to grow in popularity thanks to upbeat coverage on leading VoIP websites, hot on the heels of referrals from VoIP message boards such as Cisco's NetPro, TrixBox and Voxilla. In July, 3am Systems featured on spanish language website VoIP Exchange. Then in October, it featured on the immensly popular TMCnet website, courtesy of Tom Keating's 'VoIP and Gadgets blog'.

3am's unique resource continues to be the leading reference for many wireline telephony and VoIP specialists around the world when it comes to the A-Z of call progress tones. The website enjoys a healthily expanding subscriber base composed of telephony professionals from several VoIP providers, telecommunications equipment OEMs as well as telephony software vendors.

  • 3am Systems takes aim at OEMs and VARs [Sep'06]
  • Thanks to solid growth in the popularity of its wireline telephony resources, 3am Systems is teaming up with leading wireline telephony OEMs and VARs by offering software integration, licensing, bundling and advertising deals.

  • 3am is four years old [Jun'06]
  • 3am Systems has come a long way since that fateful late night session that started it all. History recalls that the first working build of MkBkFunH.exe was put together in an eighteen hour stretch. The utility, a proprietary preprocessor for embedded C source files, was brought up on 25th June'02 at three in the morning. Four years later, the legacy lives on.

  • 3am Systems succeeds at organising a little of the world's information [Mar'06]
  • With its online 'World PSTN Tone Database' and related resources, 3am Systems has established itself as the reference for wireline telephony developers working in VoIP, PBX, Phones, Modems and related sectors when it comes down to the A-Z of international call progress tones.

With typical visit lengths of 35 minutes, telephony professionals are finding something useful every time they visit. Testimonials taken from Italian language VoIP forums are particularly enthusiastic:

"Inesauribile fonte di regionalizzazioni..." - A vast resource for regionalization settings.
"Ecco qui un sito che dire utile è poco..." - That this is a useful site is an understatement.

Thanks to enhanced search technology built into the 'World PSTN Tone Database', visitors are now automatically directed to appropriate content when they are referred from top search engines. Whether it's a search for information on a specific call progress tone, or a search for tones used in a specific country, visitors coming from search engines are now much more likely to find exactly what they are looking for.

  • Six months and one thousand downloads later [Dec'05]
  • Just six months after its release by 3am Systems, SafeNet-UPS Minidriver is proving popular with users and system administrators. The driver, written as a replacement to clunky vendor-supplied applets, provides seamless integration with the built-in UPS management service in Windows 2000 and XP.

  • Online 'World PSTN Tone Database' unleashed [Jun'05]
  • Dissatisfied with the quality of related online resources, 3am Systems has drawn on the scattered information available and transformed it into a unified data source, complete with technical information and audio samples.

  • 3am Systems launches website [Sep'04]
  • With a mission to make its embedded systems and wireline telephony know-how globally accessible, 3am Systems has launched its online presence.
